Woincourt

Woincourt is a commune with 1419 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. It belongs to the district Abbeville, to Canton Friville -Escarbotin and the Local Government Association Vimeu Industriel.

Geography

Woincourt is located in northern France, at the southern edge of the Somme in Vimeu, about 8 kilometers from the English Channel. The nearest major town is Abbeville seat of the Prefecture for the district of the same name. It is 22 km away, in a northeasterly direction. Direct neighboring communities of Tully Woincourt are in the northwest, Fressenneville in the east, in the southeast and Embreville Yzengremer in the southwest.
