Wolf Gremm

Wolf Gremm ( born February 26, 1942 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German film director and screenwriter.

Life and work

Wolf Gremm studied in the 1960s, German studies, psychology, sociology and theater studies. After graduating, he began studying directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. In 1973, he turned with I thought I was dead his first feature film. He established himself in the 1970s as one of the most important German writer-director. His friendship with Rainer Werner Fassbinder led to his films, Kamikaze 1989, in which Cooper played and documentation of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, the main role - the last year.

His biggest international success came with his wolf Gremm Erich Kaestner - adaptation of the novel Fabian. Hans Peter Hall wax played the title role in 1980. Since 1989 Kamikaze Wolf Gremm is exclusively for television acting.

Wolf Gremm is married to the film producer Regina Ziegler, who began her career as a film producer with Gremms debut film in 1973.

1973 Gremm was awarded the German Critics Prize.
