Wolfgang Ebner

Wolfgang Ebner ( * 1612 in Augsburg, † February 12, 1665 in Vienna ) was a German organist, conductor and composer.

From 1634 he was organist at St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna and in 1637 played this instrument in the Vienna Court Orchestra. He also received the Kapellmeister in 1663. His twin brother Mark (1612-1681) also worked in Vienna and was there from 1655 to 1680 organist at the court chapel.

Wolfgang Ebner created, among other variations for harpsichord ( Aria augustissimi ac invictissimi Imperatoris Ferdinandiova III: XXXVI modis variata, ac per cimbalo accomodata, Prague, 1648), as well as dances, ballets and a motet.
