Wolfgang Heinz (politician)

Wolfgang Heinz ( born July 31, 1938 in Green City ) is a German politician ( FDP). He was from 1970 to 1980 member of the Landtag of North Rhine -Westphalia and 1980 Group Chairman.

Life

Heinz completed after high school graduation in 1958 until 1964, studied German, history, education and political science. He then worked until 1966 as head of domestic policy at the Association of German student bodies in Bonn. After that, he was until 1967 Head of Education Policy Papers Federal Executive of the FDP in Bonn and from 1968 to 1973 Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Policy Planning and Cybernetics in Bonn.

Policy

Heinz is a member of the FDP since 1964. From 1974 to 1978 he was deputy chairman of FDP district association Cologne. Later, he was also a member of the FDP Executive in North Rhine -Westphalia. Since 1972 he is member of the Union for Education and Science. From 1969 to 1973 he was a member of the county council and district committee of the Rhein- Sieg district, where he was chairman of the FDP. July 26, 1970 to May 28, 1980, he was a member of the Diet, where he drew in two elections over the national list of his party in the state legislature in the seventh and eighth legislature. From 1 January 1980, he took over until the end of the legislature succeeds Hans Koch as leader of the FDP.
