Wolfgang Knabe

Wolfgang Knabe ( born July 12, 1959 in Damme ) is a former German triple jumper.

In 1981 he was eighth at the Indoor Athletics Championships in Grenoble. At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki, he left in qualifying.

In 1988 he became German champion in 1983 and 1992 runner-up. In the hall he was German champion in 1986 and 1983 and 1988 runner-up.

Wolfgang boy started until 1976 for the OSC Damme, 1977-1982 for the BLK Bersenbrueck, from 1983 to 1984 for the Union - United Ilsede and 1985 to 1995 for the TV Wattenscheid 01 1996, he returned to the OSC Damme, whose first he is currently Chairman. In the senior level, he was several times World and European champion and in 2005 was 15.13 m with a world record for the age group M45 on.
