Wolfgang Rausch

Wolfgang Rausch ( born April 30, 1947) is a former German football player.

Career

Clubs

With 18 years of noise received a first team contract with the Bundesliga 1 FC Cologne. In his first pro season, 1965/66, he came to three inserts; for the first time on 26 February 1966 ( 23 Matchday) in the 1-2 defeat in the away game against Werder Bremen. In the following two seasons, he came each in 22 encounters for use; but remained without a goal. For the 1968/69 season he moved to Rot-Weiss Essen, with whom he managed to climb out of the West Regional in the Bundesliga at the end. In this he came in two seasons to 37 inserts and for his first goal he scored ( 30th Round ) in the 2:7 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on May 8, 1971. As Table he rose with the Essenes and from the 1973/74 season - and after eight games in the Augfstiegsrunde in the Bundesliga - again. After 34 matches played joined noise in the following season to the Bieberer mountain to the Kickers Offenbach, but for which he played in two seasons all Bundesliga relegation in 1976 in the 2nd Bundesliga South could not prevent. After a year in the second division, he was obliged by FC Bayern Munich and now played together with Georg Schwarz Beck and Kurt Niedermayer in the root formation of the trailing team. When in December 1978 Pal Csernai took over Bavaria as a coach, but his eyes the young Klaus Thaler ran on its common position from the rank. Noise ended with his final game on April 4, 1979 ( 25th Round ) on the club against whom he also played for the first time, his national career: the 4-0 home win against Werder Bremen, he was in the 66th minute for Martin Jol loaded. Wolfgang Rausch came in the course of his career on 257 Bundesliga appearances and scored 7 goals. From 1979-1981 denied noise still 82 games with the U.S. Club Dallas Tornado and scored 12 goals there. Furthermore, noise played as player-coach in amateur until 1991, inter alia, for the SpVg Frechen 20 and FC Pesch.

National

Noise came in the only two games of the U-23 national team in 1967 for use: On May 3, he made his debut in Mönchengladbach 's 3-1 victory over the selection of Czechoslovakia and on 22 November he played in Saarbrücken at 1: 1 draw against the selection of Romania.
