Wolfgang Ziebart

Wolfgang Ziebart ( born January 30, 1950 in Hannover ) is a German manager.

Life

After his mechanical engineering degree and doctorate at the Technical University of Munich, he worked at the Munich automaker BMW. There he first worked in the field Fahrzeugvorentwicklung and in manufacturing, 1991, he was appointed Managing Director of BMW 's subsidiary Kontron Elektronik GmbH in Eching near Munich called before in 1992 he took over as head of the body and automotive electronics. A year later, he was responsible for the development of " small series " and thus the 3 Series ( E46 ). He was appointed to the Board in 1999, but the company had to leave a year later after the Rover debacle.

Ziebart Then joined the automotive supplier Continental in Hanover. There he was responsible for the Automotive Systems division and thus, among other things for the production of electronic braking and airbag systems. In 2000 he became a member of the Board, one year after Vice Chairman.

Since September 2004, Ziebart CEO of Infineon, the contract was terminated but from June 1, 2008 after a board meeting.

In December 2009 it was announced that Ziebart is the new managing director of the Artega Automobil GmbH & Co. KG, was due to the acquisition of Artega by the Mexican investor Tresalia Capital. Artega, has filed for bankruptcy with the District Court of Paderborn on Friday, 29 June 2012, and was then taken over on 1 October 2012 by paragon AG and does not seek to take the disused car production again.

Since July 2012 Ziebart is Chairman of the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE.

On August 1, 2013 Ziebart is Chief Technology Officer at Jaguar Land Rover in England.

Ziebart is married and has three children.
