The Woodbine Township is one of 23 townships in Jo Daviess County in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Illinois.

Geography

The Woodbine Township is located in northwestern Illinois and is drained by the Apple River. The border with Iowa, which is formed from the Mississippi River, located approximately 25 km to the west. The border with Wisconsin is located about 25 north.

The Woodbine Township is located at 42 ° 19'33 " north latitude and 90 ° 10'03 " west longitude and extending over 95.18 km ².

The Woodbine township borders within the Jo Daviess County in the north to the Thompson Township, in the northeast on the Rush Township, on the east by the Stockton Township, to the southeast by the Pleasant Valley Township, on the south by the Derinda Township, to the southwest by the Hanover Township, on the west by the Elizabeth Township and to the northwest by the Guilford Township.

The nearest airports are about 70 km to the west located in Iowa Dubuque Regional Airport, some 60 km north-west located in Wisconsin Platteville Municipal Airport, some 60 km to the east Albertus Airport in Freeport and about 40 km south to Tri Township Airport in Savanna.

Population

In the census of 2010, the Township had 584 inhabitants. The population of the Township lives mainly in the autonomous municipality Elizabeth ( with a status of "Village" ), but which is becoming a larger part in the neighboring Elizabeth Township.
