Wooden tserkvas of Carpathian region in Poland and Ukraine

Wooden churches in the north Carpathians are ostkatholische or Greek Orthodox churches in the northern Carpathians in present-day southern Poland and western Ukraine. A total of 16 of these Zerkwas (Ukrainian Церква, Tserkva "church" ), which were built in the period between the 16th and 19th centuries, were included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage on June 21, 2013.
