Woody Mann

Woody Mann ( born 1953 in New York ) is a guitarist in the styles of blues, country blues, ragtime, gospel and swing. He is one of the most famous and best fingerpicking guitarists of his genre.

Learns, the New York artist his art at the legendary Reverend Gary Davis and the like Davis also blind jazz pianist Lennie Tristano from Chicago; but in addition he is also a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School of Music. Since man the styles of jazz, blues, classical and world music very entangled, he has now found a very unique, almost uncategorizable style.

Successful musicians is also works as a teacher: He has published numerous guitar schools, textbooks and videos, and constantly holds workshops and international guitar seminars. His students included under other Paul Simon.
