WorkNC

WorkNC is a CAD / CAM software, which is developed by the French company Sescoi for machining in 2, 2.5, 3, 3 2 and 5-axis. WorkNC is used by more than 25 % of the companies in leading economic countries, as used, for example, Japan and is especially known to pay particular attention to automation and ease of use since its first edition in 1988. History

The first version of WorkNC CAM software from Sescoi was published in 1988. The initiators behind the product were Bruno Marko, Sescoi's managing director, and Gérard Billard, Head of R & D innovation.

In the late 1980s, the programming of CNC machines for complex components was a difficult and lengthy process. Sescoi had recognized the need for 3-axis CAM software and paved the way for the development of a new, reliable and automatic 3-axis CAM system. Over the years, Sescoi has preserved the original philosophy behind WorkNC: speed up the toolpath calculations, ensuring optimal reliability for direct machining of hard materials and maximum automation and ease of use, so that the programming can be done directly in the workshop. Automation is the guide that runs through the entire history of the software. WorkNC Dental has an easy- to-use graphical user interface that is specially designed for dental laboratories and dental technicians who are not experts in machining technologies. MPM automatically determines a safe retract height, the results from the highest electrode, and the clear presentation in the program allows the operator to recognize even the smallest potential problems immediately.

WorkNC LMP ( Layer Milling Process)

WorkNC LMP is a CAD / CAM software, to mill parts in layers. Advantages of this technology are to mill the possibilities of deep corrugations and narrow cavities.

WorkNC -LMP shares a 3D model automatically in layers and generates toolpaths for each layer. This technology can be applied to any cutting unit. The programming and subsequent milling operation is facilitated by the division of a complex geometry into many layers.

Sescoi developed in cooperation with F. Zimmermann this technology by combining the accuracy and speed of Zimmermann LMC (Layer Milling Centre) with Sescoi's WorkNC -LMP. By using this software in conjunction with the milling machine, all toolpaths and machine operation sequences were automatically generated and unmanned operation was possible.
