World: Have Your Say

World: Have Your Say ( whys ) is an English radio talk show of the BBC World Service which is broadcast every weekday from 19.00 clock (CET ) worldwide. World: Have Your Say won the 2008 Sony Radio Academy Awards in the category " talkback ".

History

The BBC World Service launched the program in October 2005 with Anu Anand and Steve Richards as moderators and Mark Sandell as editor. Ros Atkins replaced Steve Richards in early 2006 and has since been the chief host of the program. Other presenters are Rabiya Limbada and Peter Dobbie.

The discussion topics will be determined by the listeners who write every day e- mails and SMS messages to the editor or call the station before the moderators go on the air. Some listeners use this, the Facebook page for the show. Some of listener contributions are read live during the broadcast. Callers from around the world can discuss together live during the broadcast.

On special occasions, the consignment is sometimes produced outside. For example, there was a special program on the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in 2009 from Berlin. Comparable series of topics but it has also been given to certain regions. In this case, the program for one week produced from different locations.

The program was broadcast in addition to the BBC Word Service on various stations in the USA, India, Turkey and Africa.
