World Money Fair

The World Money Fair is an international coin fair.

1970 in Munich by Albert Beck the " European organization coins Exchanges" ( OEMB ) founded with the idea of building a strong collector's market. Two years later, the organization held in Basel, the " first International Coin Exchange ". This was repeated in the following years in Bern and Zurich. Over time, this market has developed through the participation of the State mints for " European Coin Purse" and then "World Money Fair " on. Meanwhile take up to 40 nations participating in the stock market.

2006, the stock market was first held in Berlin. At the opening presented on 3 February 2006, the Parliamentary State Secretary Karl Diller the Schleswig-Holstein Finance Minister Rainer Wiegard the newly released two euro coin with the Lübeck's Holsten on the back.

On the coin fair, there are also exhibitions alongside competitions, presentations of new coin programs, special show issues, auctions, lectures and honors. In addition, the Vreneli Award of Merit is awarded annually in numismatics.
