World Organization of the Scout Movement

The World Organization of the Scout Movement ( WOSM ) is a World Scout organization whose members currently more than 36 million scouts in 160 countries. Thus the WOSM is the largest children's and youth organization in the world. The WOSM emerged from the Boy Scouts International Bureau was founded in 1920.

In the statutes of the WOSM regions are provided as voluntary associations of persons working in the region Scout associations.
