World Philosophy Day

The third Thursday in November is celebrated worldwide as the day of philosophy.

The UNESCO General Conference in 2005 stated in the resolution 33C/Res. 37 that the World Day " philosophy help to greater recognition and give it buoyancy and philosophical doctrine " is.

All member countries are asked in this resolution, to keep the day in schools, colleges, institutions, cities or philosophical associations active. To more than 100 countries in 2009 followed this call.

Also in Germany since 2007, every year numerous events.
