World Series of Snooker

The World Series of Snooker was a series of snooker tournaments, which were not part of the main tour. John Higgins, a multiple world champion, was co-organizer of the 2008/ 09 inaugural tournament series.

The tournament series should make the snooker sport in countries popular that are not visited by the main tour. World ranking points but there was none.

In the first season first four previous tournaments, as well as a final tournament took place. Already in the second year there were only two tournaments before the series was due to the bribery allegations against co-organizer John Higgins and, on the main tour newly introduced, Players Tour Championship, which takes a similar approach to the World Series, is set.
