World Wetlands Day

The World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year since 1997 on 2 February, in memory of the Ramsar agreement of UNESCO ( Convention on Wetlands, especially as a habitat for waterfowl and waders, of international importance ). The day aims to improve the public perception of the value and benefits of wetlands.
