World Year of Physics 2005

In memory of Albert Einstein's annus mirabilis (1905 ) and his 50th death anniversary was declared 2005 the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics and the UNESCO World Year of Physics.

In Germany, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research oriented (BMBF ) and the Science Initiative ( WiD ) the Einstein year. The campaign was developed by the Berlin-based agency WE DO communication in cooperation with Fleishman -Hillard and Stephanie Schmidt.

Popularization of science was the leading idea in the Einstein Year 2005. Einstein The program of the 2005 designed numerous national and international partners from science, business and culture. Schools and universities, theaters, museums and festivals, cultural foundations and the Goethe Institute were also part of the group of partners such as federal states and local authorities as well as companies, associations and the media.
