World Youth Day 2008

The XXIII. World Youth Day took place in 2008 in the Australian city of Sydney from 15 to 20 July. World Youth Day song

The official song for World Youth Day is called Receive the Power ( "Receive the Power " ) and is sung by Guy Sebastian, the first Australian Idol winner. Sebastian wrote the song with Gary Pinto.
