Worrawoot Srimaka

Worrawoot Srimaka ( Thai: วร วุฒิ ศรี มะ ฆะ, born December 8, 1971 in Nakhon Pathom ) was a Thai footballer.

Career

His career began in 1991 at the FC Worrawoot Thai Farmers Bank and reached with the club at the start of his young career, the greatest successes. He has been with the club three times champion. Won twice the AFC Champions League twice and the Queen's Cup. In 1996 he moved to BEC Tero Sasana with whom he was also champion twice. In 2003 he again reached the final of the AFC Champions League. In both games of the Finals, he was chosen. At the end they lost by return game the Al Ain Club. 1998 and 2002 he was top scorer in each of the Thai Premier League. 2002/ 03 he went for a short time to Malaysia to Kelantan FA. He could not prevent the end of the season did not make the team to qualify for the new first division, however. Back at BEC Tero, he moved in 2004 to Vietnam Pisico Bình Định. With the club in 2005 he played again in the Champions League. His goal in the group match against the Thai Krung Thai Bank FC mean for Bình Định the first victory in the Champions League after 9 win lots of games in a row. In 2007 he returned to Thailand and first played at FC Chonburi. In the summer of 2008, he finally moved to FC Customs Department and ended there his active career.

Worrawoot played from 1996 to 2002 for the Thai national team. He brought it in 63 missions on 28 goals. His first international goal he scored on 4 July 1996 against the national team of the Maldives. In the same year he won with the team the ASEAN Football Championship 1996. 2000 and 2002 was followed by two more titles in the ASEAN Championship. With five goals in 2000 he was top scorer of the tournament. He scored three of his five goals in the final against Indonesia. Within 18 minutes, he shot these three goals thus scoring a hat-trick. In his two appearances at the South East Asia games he won in 1997 and 1999 the gold medal with the national team.
