WR 124

WR 124 (also called QR Sge ) is a giant star in the constellation arrow and one of the rare Wolf -Rayet star with a surface temperature of 50,000 Kelvin. The 15,000 light- years distant star has an apparent magnitude of 11.8 mag. The extreme stellar wind emanating from him since about 10,000 years expels its hull with high speed from him, creating a stunning planetary nebula called M1 -67 around it.
