Wright County (Minnesota)
The Wright County ' is a county located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In 2010, the county had 124,700 inhabitants and a population density of 72.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Buffalo.
The Wright County is part of the metropolitan area of Minneapolis -Saint Paul.
Geography
The County is located in the north- western suburbs of Minneapolis slightly southeast of the geographical center of Minnesota. The easternmost point of the county is formed by the confluence of the Crow River in Mississippi. The Wright County has an area of 1850 square kilometers, of which 139 square kilometers are water surface. It borders the following Nachbarcountys:
History
The Wright County was formed on February 20, 1855 from portions of Cass County and the Sibley County. It was named after Silas Wright (1795-1847), an American politician and member of the U.S. Congress.

According to the census in 2010 lived in Wright County 124,700 people in 44 683 households. The population density was 72.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. In the 44 683 households lived statistically 2.73 per person.
