Wristband

A wristband (also the intake volume) is made of a wrist mount thin strip, usually made of plastic (vinyl, Tyvek, tri- laminates, silicone or other plastic material). Especially at events, it is an often used means of identification. Through its colors and imprints of their administration can be seen. In order to prevent multiple use or transfer, it is so designed and installed that it can not be removed intact. On the other hand it is sufficiently robust so that it takes several days on the wrist.

In its simplest form it is used for optical access control, for advanced applications, it can also be equipped with NFC or RFID. For multi-day events such as music festivals Wristbands are often used for reasons of textile wearing comfort. The term wristbands is frequently used interchangeably among the visitors.
