Write Anywhere File Layout

Write Anywhere File Layout ( WAFL ) is a file system that was developed by NetApp for their storage systems with the use of the Data ONTAP operating system. It has a relationship to UNIX file systems, such as the Berkeley Fast File System and Transarcs Episode File System.

WAFL is optimized in design for network file access capabilities such as an uninterruptible magnification of a file system have therefore been implemented from scratch.
