Wrixum
Wrixum ( Frisian: Wraksem ) is a municipality in the district of North Friesland Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
Wrixum is located on the North Frisian island of Foehr at the border to Wyk. The place has a bus connection as well as several bicycle rental.
History
Wrixum built in the 15th century as a village in the long march.
Policy
Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Wrixumer Community ( WWG ) occupied all nine seats in the municipal council.

Blazon: " In Gold over Silver Wellenschildfuß, in a blue wave beam, a green hill in a silver windmill. Top two supplied turned Oystercatchers in natural tincture. "

Economy
Tourism is the main industry Wrixums. In the town there are many small businesses.
Attractions
The landmark of the village is the Wrixumer mill. This is a 1851 built, octagonal Dutch windmill that was in use until 1960. In 1971, restored the then owner, W. Amerongen, already dilapidated mill.
