The Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny we Wrocławiu ( University of Economics, Wroclaw, official English self-designation Wrocław University of Economics, . Until May 2008 Akademia Ekonomiczna in Oskara Langego we Wrocławiu - Oskar Lange Academy of Economics Wroclaw ) is a public university based in the Ulica Komandorska in Breslau ( Wrocław ) and a branch office in Jelenia Góra.

Structure

The university comprises four faculties: Business Administration and Engineering; Economics ( Economics to 2006 ); Administration, computer science and finance (until 2007 administration and computer science ); Regional Economic Development and Tourism (Campus in Jelenia Góra ). Students can enroll in 6 disciplines with 47 focal points. There are also complete courses in English offered currently (as of April 2, 2009 ) employs the University of 743 teachers (including 136 professors ) who teach 18,174 students ( including 69 foreigners). As usual at Polish universities, "Evening " and distance learning courses are also offered. The university has doctoral and postdoctoral law.

History

The college was founded in 1947 as a private " business school " ( Wyższa SzkoĹ Handlowa ). In 1950, she was nationalized and in " business school " ( Wyższa SzkoĹ Ekonomiczna ) renamed. In 1974 another name change in academia Ekonomiczna ( " Business Academy " ) and the name as the economist Oskar Lange ( 1904-1965 ). Since 6 May 2008, she carries the current name ( without the " Oskar Lange" ).
