Wrottesley is an impact crater in the east of the Moon front, on the southeastern edge of Mare Fecunditatis, immediately west of the crater Petavius ​​whose edge he touches. The crater is moderately eroded and has pronounced terraces and a central mountain on.

The crater was founded in 1935, officially named by the IAU by the British astronomer John Wrottesley, 2nd Baron Wrottesley.
