Würchwitz since 1 July 2009, a district of the town of Zeitz in Saxony-Anhalt castle district. The village is located about seven kilometers east of the center.

History
Würchwitz was first documented in 1147.
The district Suxdorf 1570 was affected by witch hunts. Eva Geissler, an elderly woman who was caught in a witch trial and was burned.
Together with Döbris, Geußnitz, Kayna and Nonnewitz Würchwitz was incorporated on 1 July 2009 in the town of Zeitz. Last mayor of the former municipality was Klaus Rübestahl.
