Wuzhou (Chinese梧州 市, pinyin Wuzhou Shì ) is a prefecture-level city on the eastern edge of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. The administrative area of the city has an area of 12,588 km ² and approximately 2.88 million inhabitants (November 2010). Most residents of the city are Han Chinese, which is not anywhere in Guangxi the case. In Wuzhou Yue (Cantonese) is spoken. The importance of the city can be explained by a river port.
