Wyatt Crockett

Wyatt Crockett ( born January 24, 1983 in Christchurch, New Zealand) is a New Zealand rugby union player at the position of the pillar.

Crockett went to the Nelson College for School and is a member of the rugby club Burnside RFC from Christchurch. In his youth, he won the New Zealand U-19 national rugby team Rugby Junior World Championship 2002 in Italy and with the U- 21 team Junior World Championship 2004 in Scotland.

Since 2005 he plays for the selection of the Canterbury RFU in the New Zealand Rugby Championship. With it, he was in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 four consecutive champion. He also won the Ranfurly Shield with Canterbury in 2007 ( a successful defense ), 2009 ( four successful defenses ) and 2010 ( two successful defenses ).

In addition, he has been running since the year 2006 for the Crusaders in the international Super Rugby. With them he obtained in 2006 and 2008 the title. 2007, 2009 and 2010, they failed in the semi-finals and final of the 2011 Championship.

In 2009, he debuted because of its benefits for the New Zealand national team ( All Blacks ) during the June international matches against the Italian National Team. The All Blacks won by 27:6. At the end of the year he was in the squad of the All Blacks for their annual November tour in Europe, where it ran aground in the victories over Italy and the Welsh national team.

His next national nomination took place only two years later. He played in the 2011 Tri Nations and the All Blacks successfully defended the Bledisloe Cup against the Australian national team ( Wallabies ). After that, he did not make it into the squad from New Zealand for the Rugby Union World Cup 2011 in their own country.
