Wyszków
Wyszków (1941-1945 High Castle ) is the county seat of powiat Wyszkowski in the Masovian Voivodeship today with about 27,000 inhabitants. The city is located at the bow, about 55 km north-east of Warsaw.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1203, 1502 was this city right. In the Second Northern War 1655-1660 the city was destroyed and lost its importance for the region.
The construction of the railway Pilawa Tluszcz - Ostrołęka 1897 accelerated industrialization. From 1975 to 1998 Wyszków belonged to the province Ostrołęka and before the Warsaw Voivodeship.
