X-League

The X -League is an existing 1971 Japanese Football League. Prior to 1987, she was renamed Japan American Football League. It consists of divisions, X1, X2, X3 and X4 between which the teams can get on and off. In these divisions the teams are again divided into three groups, East, West and Central. As in Germany, is played in the X- League after college football rules and a quarter is 12 instead of 15 minutes.

The season consists of a five-week regular season and a subsequent two-week championship round of jerweils top three winners of the divisions. The four best then pull it into the play -offs. The endgame is called the Japan X Bowl.
