X-Men (TV series)

X -Men (English X -Men, and X -Men: The Animated Series) is an American animated television series, which are based on the comic book adventures of the X -Men from the publisher Marvel. In Germany, the series was first broadcast on September 25, 1993 on RTL.

Action

The series tells of the battle between the X -Men and Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants, among other things, the anti - mutant Community and the Sentinels.

Production and publication

Originally, the series should start on Labor Day weekend in September 1992, due to production difficulties of the launch was postponed to the end of October. On 31 October 1992, the two- prime was shown " hunt the mutants " (original title Night of the Sentinel ) as a sneak peek. The version shown, however, was full of animation errors and has been corrected in retrospect. The first season has 13 episodes and includes a self-contained act, as the producers of the show at that time did not know whether FOX, the station that aired the series, the series will be renewed for a second season. After the first season gained popularity, the network decided to give 39 more episodes in production. Due to the increasing success during the broadcast of the second season were equal on 14 more episodes, which should be shown as a final fourth season ordered. It was during the production of these 53 new episodes again to production difficulties and so the consequences were sent in a random order, which overlapped many different storylines and scenarios sooner or later took place, as originally planned.
