X-ray spectroscopy

X-ray spectroscopy ( XRS ) is the generic term for a variety of spectroscopic measurement methods of physics, whose commonality lies in the use of X-rays. Broadly speaking, the part of the electromagnetic spectrum of X-rays even further into the hard X-rays (from about 10 keV ) and the soft X-rays divided ( less than about 10 keV):

  • X-ray absorption spectroscopy
  • X-ray emission spectroscopy
  • Photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS)
  • X-ray fluorescence analysis ( XRF)
  • Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX )
  • Wavelength-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy ( WDX )
