Xaver Hörmann

Xaver Hörmann (* February 21, 1910, † February 23, 1943 ) was a German canoeist who in 1936 won an Olympic bronze medal.

Only at the Olympic debut of canoe sport in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin also contests with folding kayaks were on the program. In one of the 10,000 meters Austrian Gregor Hradetzky won by three seconds ahead of Frenchman Henri Eberhardt; further two seconds back came Xaver Hörmann of the Canoe Association Esslingen to the finish, which had the fourth-placed over a minute ahead.
