Xellent Swiss Vodka

Xellent is a Swiss vodka brand that is manufactured by Diwisa Willisau Distillery. He is also referred to as " scene - vodka " because it is often drunk in nightclubs. Meanwhile Xellent is sold in over 22 countries.

Production

Xellent generated in Willisau from pure Swiss commodities. The rye comes from central Switzerland, the water from the Titlis Glacier.

After the starch was digested in the Rye in three steps and the first mash is created, the Distellerie Willisau is the only vodka distillery world follows a special procedure. The mash is predistilled in small copper stills, and then run through a 45 - bödige copper bells column. At the end of the burning process of the vodka is cleaned and then stored with an alcohol content of 96 % for several months.

After this rest period the vodka is put in several, interrupted by periods of rest levels with pure glacier water from the Titlis glacier to reach an alcohol content of 40%. The glacier water is slightly alkaline, which makes Xellent one of the few pH - neutral vodkas. After the last filtration, the vodka is bottled in the typical Xellent red bottles.

Awards

Xellent Swiss Vodka was awarded in 2005 with the double gold medal from the San Francisco Spirits Competition. All 10 jurors the vodka from the gold medal.

In March 2005 Xellent posted in Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the highest possible score (Category 96-100 ).
