Xenia (Greek)

The term Theoxenie (Greek θεός (God) and ξένος ( guest / stranger ) ) refers to a banquet of the gods. That is, the gods are with people to make, often without that people will recognize it as such. Examples of this can be found in the Bible (1st book of Genesis 18,1 ff), but also in Greek mythology as in the story of the birth of Orion or the legend of Philemon and Baucis.
