Xerez CD

Deportivo Xerez ( officially: Xerez Club Deportivo ) is a Spanish football club based in Jerez, Andalusia. The club on 24 September 1947 Established. Currently the club plays in the Segunda División.

General

The club plays in blue shirts as well as connectors and white pants.

History

After many years in the Segunda División B ( third tier ) and the Tercera División ( fourth division ) was achieved in the 2000 /01 season of resurgence in the second division, the Segunda División. Almost would the following year under coach Bernd Schuster immediate walkover succeeded. After 34 of 42 match days of the 2001/02 season Xerex was still six points clear of Racing Santander. But while Santander took 17 points in the remaining eight games, stood for the newly promoted only six points on the credit side. Overall Xerez came as a climber on an excellent fourth place. The actual promotion to the Primera División finally succeeded in the 2008 /09 season. After prolonged downturn and only one win in the first round, the club officials decided in January 2010 to dismiss coach José Ángel Ziganda. Overall, the team earned up to this point of the season just eight points and was relegated to the last place. Despite a significant increase in performance, the club rose again at the end of the 2009/10 season in the Segunda División. In the 2012/13 season the crash followed in the Segunda División B. third-rate

Stadium

Home games are played on Municipal de Chapin Olympic Stadium, which was inaugurated on 10 July 1988 at the site of the old stadium, the Estadio Domecq. My first opponent was in a friendly match Real Madrid.
