Xiamen International Marathon
The Xiamen Marathon (English name Xiamen International Marathon; abbreviated XIM; Chinese厦门 国际 马拉松 赛, Pinyin Guoji Xiamen Mǎlāsōngsài ) is a marathon in Xiamen, which was first held in 2003 and now one of the largest and fastest in Asia. He co-organized by the city government of Xiamen and the Chinese Athletic Association. The competition also includes a half marathon and a 10-km and 5 - km run.
Start of all runs is at Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. From there it goes parallel to the coast on the Huandao Road in the west. The 5- km and 10- km runs and half-marathon are point-to- point links, the marathon runners go by the western part of Xiamen on largely the same route back to the starting point.
