Xian County

The circle Xian (Chinese献县/献县, Pinyin Xiàn Xiàn, in the (old) French transcription Sienhsien, Sien Hsien, Hsien Hsien or Hien - hien (among others), is a district of the prefecture-level city of Cangzhou in Hebei Province and vacant seat of a Catholic diocese in the People's Republic of China, which belongs to the Ecclesiastical Province of Beijing. often, after the name of the district ( xian献) also the word for circle ( xian县) added, so that the apparent name Xianxian arises.

History
