Xiao (flute)
Xiao (Chinese箫, Pinyin Xiao ) is a Chinese nuclear fission flute made of bamboo root and presentation of the Japanese shakuhachi.
As this too is blown through a notch at the upper end of the tube. The slightly modified form of Anblaskerbe her sound can keep a little more stable than in the Japanese version. Their sound is very soft, deep and restrained. Originally it served Buddhist monks as a meditation tool, before they came to Japan about 500 years ago. The Xiao is played either solo or in an ensemble with the fretless Chinese board zither Gu Qin.
