Xicochi

Xicochi is a motet from the 17th century by Gaspar Fernandes during his creative period in Puebla, New Spain (now Mexico). It is an example of the influence of the indigenous ethnic group of Nahua - then culturally dominant in Central America - to the music of the colonial period. Linda Ronstadt recorded the song for her, released in 2000 album A Merry Little Christmas.
