Xie Fuzhan

Xie Fuzhan (Chinese谢伏瞻; * 1954 in Tianmen, Hubei Province ), is a Han Chinese, who heads the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China as a director since 2006.

A graduate of Central China University of Science and Technology in Huazong he worked from 1980 to 1986 as a reporter for the Renmin Ribao. From 1986 to 1989 was scientifically active than at the Development Research Center of the State Council. From 1991 to 1992, as a visiting student at Princeton University in the United States.

1999 to 2006 he was Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

In 2007 he was one of the 127 members of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the 17th Party Congress.
