Xilent

Xilent ( Eryk Kowalczyk real name; * in Poland) is a Polish dubstep, electro-house and drum & bass producer, currently living in England. He gained through his song " Choose Me II", which was published on 16 May 2011 on Beatport and international fame. The song reached the # 1 Beatport dubstep charts and stayed for three months in the Top 5 The track was selected as Zane Lowe's ' Next Hype " track. Xilent has been nominated as " Best Newcomer Producer" at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards 2011. At the moment Xilent is the label AudioPorn Records.

Biography

His childhood was spent Kowalczyk in Warsaw in Poland. He had a lot to do with the music of the 1980s, especially funk and soul that goes with it, that his parents were both professional musicians. While his mother conductor, violinist and pianist, was his father was a drummer and singer in various bands. At the age of eight years Xilent began to produce first tracks after he had received an introduction to the Propellerhead Rebirth RB -338 synthesizer set. At this time his songs were more likely to assign a mix of house and acid techno and thus no direct genre, but then got rather tendencies towards breakbeat, until he finally found to drum & bass. During this time he also played drums in a few hardcore punk bands like Fast Forward. When he the compilation " Future Grooves - Essential Drum & Bass" in 1999 was he first heard music with more than 150 BPM, and immediately took to this music.

Many of his digital releases prior to his breakthrough came in the TrackItDown Drum & Bass charts. His song Terminal was described by TrackItDown as " Drum & Bass Anthem" ( " Drum & Bass anthem ").

The next 3 years of his life Xilent in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he studied software development. There, he signed contracts with several internationally renowned labels such as Beta Recordings, Ammunition Recordings, Mindtech Recordings and others while he gave performances as a DJ in Europe and musicians such as Spor supported. In December 2009, Eryk had an appearance in his native Poland for the first time.

In 2011, Xilent was taken from the independent label AudioPorn Records, which Shimon, one of the co-founder of Ram Records heard. This year he published his EPs Choose Me and Skyward. Furthermore followed in the same year the singles Evolutions Per Minute / / Tenkai and Clear Your Mind.

In May 2012, his EP Ultrafunk appeared. In the autumn of the same year was followed by "Touch Sound".
