Xin Zhou ( born December 16, 1955) is a Chinese mathematician who deals with partial differential equations and integrable systems of mathematical physics.

Xin Zhou obtained his diploma in physics in 1982 at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. In 1988 he received his doctorate at the University of Rochester in Adrian Iosif Nachman in mathematics. He is an associate professor at Duke University.

He deals with the one - and two-dimensional inverse scattering problem using methods from the area of the Riemann - Hilbert problem. He also deals with random matrices. He collaborated among others with Percy Deift.
