Xinglongwa culture

Xinglongwa ( Xinglongwa Yizhi ,兴隆 洼 遗址) is a village on the Xinglongwa (兴隆 洼村) named Neolithic site in Aohan Banner of Inner Mongolia. It was excavated in 1983. The Xinglongwa culture ( Xīnglóngwā Wenhua兴隆 洼 文化Xinglongwa Culture) is named after her. It is the earliest neolithic culture on the territory of Inner Mongolia. The Fund provided important materials to forms of settlement of the Neolithic in northern China.

The culture is dated to 6200-5400 BC and was mainly in the catchment area of the rivers Xiliao He (西 辽河) and Daling He (大 凌河) and at the southern foot of the Yan Shan (燕山) spread.

The Xinglongwa - site ( Xinglongwa Yizhi ) in Aohan banner stands since 1996 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 4-6).
