Xingó Dam

The hydropower plant Xingó [ ʃĩɡɔ ] was built in 1994 at the Rio São Francisco in Brazil between the states of Alagoas and Sergipe. The nearest towns are piranhas in Alagoas (12 km) and Canindé do ​​São Francisco, Sergipe (6 km).
