XML-Editor

An XML editor is a computer program for editing XML documents. In addition to the potential for normal text editors input of plain text XML editors have special skills that support the user in the input data, the correct structure is determined by a the document associated document type definition (DTD) or an XML schema. The editor is thus in a position to allow only those data entries and other refuse, which prevents incorrect entries.

XML editors often offer different perspectives on the XML files. The text view displays the contents of the XML data directly and is usually supported by syntax highlighting and auto-completion. In the Grid view, the elements are represented as a hierarchical grid or table. The browser view shows how the data would be displayed in a browser.
