Xonrupt-Longemer

La Bresse is a commune in the Vosges department in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Saint- Dié -des-Vosges, Gerardmer to Canton and the Local Government Association, founded in 2003 Lacs et Hauts Rupts.

Geography

The 1558 inhabitants (1 January 2011 ) scoring municipality La Bresse is located at about 720 meters above sea level in the Vosges Mountains, just east of the town of Gerardmer. The municipality comprises the valley of the upper Vologne including their source and the carrying out of their mountain lakes Longemer and Lac de Retournemer. The Longemer is 76 hectares after the Lac de Gerardmer is the second largest natural lake in the Vosges and is used in summer for bathing. Through the village La Bresse performs the important national road from Colmar on the Col de la gorge to Epinal.
