XOSL

XOSL is an acronym for Extended Operating System Loader and is a free boot loader such as GRUB and LILO, with the aim of usability. It is very easy to install and use, and supports all major operating systems. It provides a graphical interface at boot time, can automatically play keyboard shortcuts, and much more at boot time. The software was written by Geurt Vos.

XOSL under the GNU General Public License so it is free software which is present in the source code and freely copied, must not be modified and distributed. The current version is since the end of 2000, the version 1.1.5. By 2004 there was a www.xosl2.com domain from which the program could be obtained. Since 2005, this domain is no longer active. A copy is available on www.ranish.com. In 2002 the program was also translated into German.
